Dear Dad (March 26, 1994)

March 26, 1994

Dear Dad,

I have been writing a lot lately. Not computer programs... letters and motions to judges and commissions, letters to the editors of newspapers, etc. Why? Because of you and your legal problems. I just wanted to write and thank you.

I have always wanted to write for a living dad, since that first poem I wrote for a third grade poetry contest. I started my computer business over 11 years ago with the idea of making enough money to retire and devote my time to writing poetry and philosophy papers (and perhaps even a book or two). Somehow I got lost... wrapped up in the business of business. You have returned my focus, restored my dream.

I think there is a master plan in all of your problems dad and I think this master plan is based in something very good. I have no idea what the final resolve to your legal problems will be but I know they will never destroy you or anything you hold as truly valuable. Take comfort in this dad. Enjoy the game. Watch and wonder as the master plan unfolds. More than restoring my dreams, your situation has restored my faith. Thank God for you dad.

With all my love,

Brian
